We at Megalodons Bar & Grill like to pride ourselfs on our ability to think outside the box. From our promtions, to our unique menu and drinks, and especially the way we buy our produce. We understand that convential farming is extremely harmful to the environment on many different levels. It is a major contributar global warming, dead zones in oceans, diseases caused by pesticides.  Agriculture alone is responsible for 14% of global green house gas emmisions. Beyond those issues agriculture covers 38% of the worlds land area, to make matters worse around 50% of the worlds habital land has already been converted to farm land. We decided to be apart of a new innovation of farming called Vertical farming.

Within the boundaries of our city Valeria Farms has built a vertical farm in an abandoned building. This new innovation is a pioneer in the farming industry. It deviates from the traditional way of farming due to all the farming being done inside a building. It uses a method of hydroponics which is enriched water and eliminates all use of harmfull fertilizers with the use of organic fertilizers instead of the nitrogen enrichec fertilizers; also eliminates the use of harmful pesticides used in traditional farming. All water used is recycled which cuts down water by one tenth used by a traditional farm. Vertical farming also grows produce in half the time it takes for a traditional farm due to all crops grown in an environmental controlled environment. Vertical farming also cuts down the carbon footprint cause by traditional farming dramatically. All produce grown by the farm are sold to the stores, restaurants, and people that live in the city. This is one innovation that we are proud to be apart of and support. Below is a video to help you get a better understanding of Verical Farming.
